Transparent Acrylic rod
High-purity polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) is used to make transparent acrylic rods, which are then precisely extruded. They are mechanically strong and optically transparent. It is the perfect material for optical studies, lighting design, and decorative art because of its high light transmittance (≥92%) and refractive index, which is nearly equal to that of optical glass .
Acrylic rods have a flat, smooth surface that can be treated with a range of techniques (including polishing, engraving, and icing) to suit various situations. Its lightweight design (density 1.19g/cm³) makes it easy to transport and install, and its high hardness and impact resistance guarantee that it won’t be easily destroyed in regular usage. Transparent acrylic rods are also resistant to mildew and bacteria, making them ideal for settings requiring a high level of sanitation.
