Anti-static acrylic sheets have become essential materials for high-precision manufacturing. Global demand is growing steadily as the electronics and new energy industries expand. The electronics manufacturing industry is the core source of demand. Zhejiang Zhanyu, however, has adopted “molecular grafting” technology to integrate anti-static agents into the molecular chain of acrylic, resulting in more stable performance over time. It also overcame the conflict between “high transparency and low resistivity,” maintaining a light transmittance of over 90%. Currently, R&D is underway on composite functional sheets (such as flame-retardant + anti-static or scratch-resistant + anti-static) to meet diverse application needs.
China has become the core production base. Over 40% of production capacity is concentrated in Jiangsu and Zhejiang (East China). Leveraging its advantages in the electronics industry, Guangdong has seen a 12% growth in demand for small, precision anti-static acrylic sheets. Leading enterprises like Xintao Optoelectronics have also built factories in Vietnam, shortening the delivery cycle for Southeast Asian orders from 6 weeks to 10 days.
Cost remains a minor challenge—high-end anti-static acrylic sheets are approximately 30% more expensive than regular ones. Nevertheless, enterprises are still willing to invest: “Compared to the losses from damaged components, this cost is well worth it.” Looking ahead, with intelligent upgrades, anti-static acrylic sheets embedded with sensors may be used to automatically monitor static levels, further opening up the high-end market.
